WFAE launched a new podcast, “NewsWorthy,” this month.
We know it can be difficult to stay on top of the news. That's why every weekday morning, we launch NewsWorthy, a podcast that brings you the most important stories and engaging conversations from the WFAE newsroom. Now you can stay connected when it's best for you.
The contract details are as follows. WFAE produces about 20 local news programs during the week, broadcast every hour on the hour from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m., and at the end of several hours throughout the day. Our news anchors and hosts work hard to bring you the most important news headlines from the Charlotte area and across the state in about two minutes. From the latest Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools decisions to politicians at the General Assembly in Raleigh, environmental news to sports results, we distill, refine and deliver the news you need throughout his day. I am working hard on this.
This was a huge effort and we are proud of this product. Our newscasts have won awards including the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award.
But what happens if your radio isn't turned on when the news broadcast takes place and you miss it? We collect a lot of audio on our website as headlines for live news blogs, but the actual audio is It often disappears.
At the same time, we're seeing more people getting their news via audio-on-demand, such as listening to newspaper articles read aloud on apps or streamable podcasts. We want to meet you wherever you are, whether it's on the radio dial or on your smartphone. And even if he happens to be unable to observe WFAE 90.7 on Tuesday at 2:04 p.m., he still thinks the newscast is worth listening to.
That's why we collect newscasts, headlines and features and repackage them daily through NewsWorthy. Check out the latest news from Charlotte and beyond on your schedule.
Listen, like and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.
