Mr. Musk and Mr. Rogan had an insightful conversation on several topics, but at one point during the episode the Tesla founder took a shot at a marijuana joint that went viral, leading to the show being taken off the air. Controversy immediately arose.

“I got quite a bit of backlash, because it was [marijuana] Apparently it's still illegal for the federal government. I mean, it's actually pretty nasty. Then I had to take random drug tests and stuff like that to prove I wasn't a drug addict… They randomly drug tested me on everything. It wasn't like “pick a day”. I took random drug tests for like a whole year…the results were actually not good for me and SpaceX. That's because it's federally illegal and SpaceX has a federal contract. Unfortunately, it wasn't just me, it was the entire company. ”

Joe Rogan tells Dustin Poirier to 'stay ready' for next fight against Benoit St. Denis
Former interim UFC lightweight champion Dustin Poirier is scheduled to face rising contender Benoit Saint-Denis on the UFC 299 card in March.
Poirier suffered a knockout loss to Justin Gaethje in the BMF title fight at UFC 291, while Saint-Denis enters the Octagon on a four-fight winning streak, all of which came by stoppage.
