The Dallas Mavericks are currently playing their worst basketball of the season, and it's coming at the worst possible time.
Despite Luka Doncic consistently playing at an MVP level, the Mavs have not been able to consistently win since their seven-game winning streak ended. This seems like years ago.
The Mavs have to find a way to get back in the win column before they are eliminated from playoff contention, and tonight's game against the Indiana Pacers is crucial to that end. The Mavs lost to the Pacers about a week ago and must avoid another poor performance.
As of Monday's practice, Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd listed Luka Doncic as questionable to play tonight against the Indiana Pacers due to a sprained right ankle.
Doncic has played in 19 of the past 20 games, and his ability to play will be important for the Mavs to get back into the win column. He obviously shouldn't overdo it and take risks, but at this point in the season every game is important.
The Dallas Mavericks have four players on the injury report ahead of tonight's matchup with the Indiana Pacers.
Derek Lively II is listed as available, while Luka Doncic, Derrick Jones Jr. and Maxi Kleber are all listed as questionable.
The Indiana Pacers have five players listed as questionable for tonight's game against the Dallas Mavericks. Quenton Jackson, Aaron Nesmith, Ben Shepherd, Oscar Siebwe and Isaiah Wong are all questionable while Doug McDermott is out.
After tonight's game between Dallas and the Pacers, they will play one more home game before heading off on a short Eastern Conference trip.
