Tuesday night's matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Hornets will be previewed at 6 p.m. on WFAA after “Tonight on ABC World News with David Muir.”
DALLAS — TEGNA and the Dallas Mavericks are partnering to provide local coverage of many of the team's games for the remainder of the 2023-2024 NBA season.
This will result in some changes to some WFAA programs.
Tonight's matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Hornets will tip off at 6 p.m., followed by “ABC World News Tonight with David Muir” at 5:30 p.m.
This means that episodes of “Will Trent” and “The Rookie” originally scheduled to air tonight at 7 and 8 p.m. will be aired overnight on Wednesday at 1:11 a.m. and 2:11 a.m., respectively, on WFAA. It means to be broadcast. – For people who gather late at night or want to set up recording on a DVR-enabled device.
Meanwhile, “The Good Doctor” will continue as scheduled on WFAA's main broadcast signal from 9 p.m. as part of ABC's regular Tuesday night programming. If the Mavs game ends after 9 p.m., WFAA will participate in the ongoing “Good Doctor.” This week's entire episode of “The Good Doctor” will air at 3:11 a.m. either way.
Antenna users can still watch “Will Trent” and “The Rookie” broadcast live in their regular Tuesday night timeslot on the WFAA 8.2 over-the-air broadcast signal.
All of these shows will be streamed live on Hulu starting Friday morning.

After tonight's game, the Mavericks have two more games to play in WFAA before the end of the regular season.
