Microsoft's long-awaited update on the state of Xbox business and whether Xbox-exclusive games will become multiplatform will be announced on Thursday, February 15th. Thursday's “special edition of the official Xbox podcast” will be available on YouTube or “anywhere you listen to podcasts,” Microsoft said. The podcast goes live on Thursdays at 3pm ET/12pm PT.
The Spencer, Bond, and Booty discussion is expected to address the loud rumors and reports surrounding various Xbox exclusive games, including titles such as: sea of thieves, hifi rush, Indiana Jones and the Great Circleand star field, it may make its way to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles. Last week, Spencer subtly addressed a series of rumors and promised specific details about the future of the Xbox brand and platform.

There's reportedly still a hardware component in Xbox's future. According to a report in the Updater newsletter, Spencer recently told his Microsoft employees during a town hall meeting that there are no plans to stop making Xbox consoles as part of a strategy that includes “multiple types of devices.” That's what it means.
Microsoft is already into the multiplatform gaming business thanks to its acquisitions of properties such as Minecraft, Call of Duty, Diablo, and Overwatch. But when franchises typically thought of as Xbox exclusives like Halo, Gears of War, Forza, and Fable make their way to PlayStation or Nintendo consoles, it's because they're fundamentally rooted in Xbox's past.
